a not so lazy sunday

Well today was a rather happening Sunday for us. First we went for a ride through some old villages, saw some churches ( I think churches in Spain are as common as pubs or tennis courts in Oz), looked at potential stone houses (all occupied unfortunately), then made our way home. Cruilles is a great little village. The fort (in photo) was built with a fort 7 metres above the ground so that when they spotted the enemy coming everyone would climb up a ladder and hide in the fort.. clever. We also discovered an old Roman underground… water holder… kind of an aqueduct I guess…
After a quick change we jumped in the car and headed south east to Tossa de Mar on the Costa Brava to see Marc’s friend Jose (in photo). A nice drive through the windy mountains and a great view once we arrived. I see the sea!! We had a quick swim (water was freezing!) then went upto Jose’s parents holiday house where lunch was waiting for us kindly prepared by his mum. Also his son Marçal (photo) had just woken up so safe to say he wasn’t short of attention for the rest of the afternoon!!
