SS to Lourdes

While we were all exhausted, nobody really had much opportunity to sleep on the way to Lourdes because of the beautiful scenery!!

Lourdes itself was just bizarre…. HEAPS of people and a very strange, sad vibe… I had imagined the grotto as something very different (see photo), but now being a tourist mecca, I guess it was bound to become like that… people from all over the world, lots in big groups, people in wheelchairs, children with disabilities... 'que fuerte'.
