This a running account of life in Spain (and wherever I find myself in the future), that will hopefully be more fun for you than reading my bulk emails... it will allow for a bit more detail and a bit more interest You can also post comments if you like...or email me, I don“t mind!! It's a bit of an ancient blogging site so please bear with the formatting. Also, look down the right hand side for archived posts... have fun!

Pompeii

Pompeya was much larger than I expected, but once the tourists started arriving it quickly felt much smaller!! We spent the majority of our day wandering the cobbled streets and peeking into the old houses.
HIGHLIGHTS: discovering the old-time zebra crossings (really that's what they are!!) and doing out own Abbey Road shot with Mt Vesuvius in the background. Discovering the most popular building on the site with a huge line of people outside... yep, you guessed it, the old brothel, with pictures of positions painted on the walls just like a menu ("mmm, I'll have two of those and that one on the side thanks").
LOWLIGHTS: for what we paid, the site is in pretty poor condition. There was no written information about what we were looking at and although we had a book, being in Italian we didn't quite understand... and they had chucked the bodies like the one in the photo, into like a garden shed that we just happened to stumble upon!!!
